Unit Supervisor

Job Title: Unit Supervisor
Location: Milan, IL 61264 (100% Onsite)
Duration: 1 + Year (Opportunity to be extended or be converted to FT, but NOT Guaranteed)

Shift: 3rd Shift - Sunday night to Thursday night, (8:30 PM - 5AM)
 
Pay range: $32.27/hr. - $37.57/hr. on W2

Job description:
Operations Supervisor will be responsible for leading the department to execute and achieve the stated metrics.

• Position is for off-shift support, most likely on 3rd shift.
• 3rd shift, Sunday night to Thursday night, 8:30PM-5AM
• Training may be done on 1st shift.
• OT will be required as needed.
• Metatarsals required

 
Must haves:

• Ability to work multiple shifts and work overtime as required, including some weekend work
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with both salary and wage personnel
• Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, and Outlook)
• Knowledge of warehouse distribution and material flow processes

 
What Makes a Candidate Stand Out:

• Experience supervising or leading a team in a union environment
• Working knowledge of the Continuous Improvement Process (CI) and 5S methodology
• Experience with an incentive pay system such as CIPP (Continuous Improvement Pay Plan) and work measurement
• Experience using statistical tools and techniques for quality management
• Knowledge or work experience in project management
• Experience with capacity and Client planning

 
Education:
Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

• Bachelor’s degree in (any discipline) Or 1+ years equivalent work experience
