Phlebotomist II

Shift:M-F 7:00AM-12:00PM rotating SAT 7a-12p
Duration:3 months
Job Summary:
The PSR II represents our company’s interface with patients, assisting them in their health routines or with critical health decisions. They are responsible for drawing blood samples from patients and preparing specimens for lab testing, following established procedures. PSR IIs create an atmosphere of trust and ensure the safety, accuracy, and confidentiality of patient information. They are expected to demonstrate leadership, focus on process excellence, and maintain professionalism.
Key Responsibilities:

Draw blood specimens and prepare them for lab testing.

Ensure accuracy by verifying patient demographic information and proper labeling of specimens.

Maintain records and documentation in accordance with policies.

Provide excellent customer service, creating a positive image for the company.

Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a professional, safe working environment.

Perform duties in both forensic and clinical settings, ensuring accuracy and safety.

Work independently, managing time effectively in a high-volume environment.

Flexible schedule required, including weekends, holidays, and on-call availability.

Travel to different locations as needed, with minimal notice.
Job Requirements:

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while ensuring error-free results.

Strong phlebotomy skills (including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections).

Must be able to follow established procedures and make good judgments.

Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license required (if applicable).

Willingness to travel between locations and work flexible hours.

Superior customer service and communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in high-volume settings.
Education & Experience:
-
High school diploma or equivalent required.
-
Medical training (e.g., medical assistant or paramedic) preferred.

Phlebotomy certification required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
-
3+ years of phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.

Minimum 2 years of experience in a Patient Service Center environment preferred.

Experience in customer service or retail preferred.

Keyboard/data entry experience is a plus.
Additional Notes:
-
High-volume site requiring at least 5 years of experience in phlebotomy.
-
Training may vary based on trainer availability.
-
Flexibility and adaptability to changing work schedules and location requirements.
