Job Title: Nuclear Projects Estimator
Job Location: Jenkinsville, SC (Onsite)

Job Description:
 
Roles & Responsibilities:
  • This position supports the Nuclear Projects team with estimating projects. Provides detailed estimate reports for Nuclear projects. This will include, but not limited to, developing detailed cost estimates for nuclear projects across all phases (conceptual, preliminary, and final).
  • Provide original and revised project estimates in support of the annual capital budget development process. Identifying and estimating labor, material, equipment, services and other costs for projects. Interface with engineering teams to understand design Product and technical requirements.
  • Collaborate with project managers to align estimates with project schedules and execution strategies. Engage with construction personnel to incorporate field conditions, labor productivity, and constructability considerations.
  • Analyze historical data and industry benchmarks to validate and refine estimates. Prepare estimate documentation and presentations for internal stakeholders and external clients. Support risk analysis and contingency development for estimates.
  • Maintain and update estimating tools, databases, and cost libraries. Assesses workload and completion deadlines; able to multitask by estimating multiple projects concurrently. Strong computer skills including the ability to use estimating tools, spreadsheets, database applications and Microsoft products.
 
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Experiences (Minimum Requirements)
  • 7+ years of directly related experience in the estimating field including but not limited to financial estimation, construction and/or engineering. Ability to perform in a high pace, multi-task environment and to independently plan and organize work schedule. Communication and interpersonal skills necessary to effectively interact with project teams, customers, other utilities, and government agencies.
  • Must be able to review and understand Products. Strong computer skills and application of pre-packaged software programs. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Must understand the project life cycle and cost that come from project supporting activities.
  • Requires deep knowledge of general industry news and trends, general industry and construction costs and inflation rates. Must be highly motivated, able to work with minimal supervision and have effective communication skills.
 
Education (Minimum Requirements)
Education Level:
  • If degree preferred, then the degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience are accepted in lieu of preferred degree. If degree is required, then the equivalency is not accepted in lieu of the required degree.
  • Minimum HS Diploma required
  • Bachelor preferred in Business Administration or Construction Management
