CT Scan Tech
Job Title: CT Scan Tech
Location: Albany, NY 12208
Duration: 3 months+ (possibility of extension)
Pay Rate: $65/hr. on W2
Location: Level I Trauma and Academic Medical Center
Job Summary:
Under the supervision of the Medical Director, Clinical Specialist, Manager, and Radiologist, the CT Technologist performs diagnostic imaging procedures in a dynamic, high-acuity healthcare setting. Utilizing CT technology, the technologist produces high-quality diagnostic images for trauma, emergency, inpatient, outpatient, research, and specialized scan-guided procedures. The role includes ensuring patient safety, supporting ongoing education, and adhering to radiation safety protocols as outlined by New York State Department of Health code part 16.
Education & Certification Requirements:
- Graduate of an AMA-approved two-year Radiologic Technology program and high school graduate (high school +1).
- New York State Registration in Diagnostic Radiography or possession of a limited permit to practice in New York.
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Current BLS certification for Healthcare Provider, CPR, or CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer.
Experience:
- Entry-level candidates with limited or no prior experience accepted; MIT level assigned based on skills and experience.
