Job Description:
The Client is seeking to hire an experienced Oracle PL/SQL/Apex developer to continue to support Syndromic Surveillance (SS), a module built within the Georgia State Electronic Notifiable Disease Surveillance System (SendSS). SendSS, a home-grown system, is currently going through a modernization effort and is moving away from PL/SQL and will be redeveloped using Oracle Apex.

The developer will be expected to work with the soon-to-retire legacy developer of the SS module to fully understand the mechanics, take ownership of the module and continue to support the staff who use it while redesigning the functionality within the Apex Framework.

Skill matrix:

• Candidate must have at least 3 years of experience in developing applications and systems.
• A bachelor’s degree is required in Computer Science, MIS, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
• The candidate must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in Oracle PL/SQL programming.
• At least 5 years of hands-on experience is required in developing web application front-ends, including manual coding in HTML, JavaScript, and the use of JavaScript-based frameworks.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience is required in working through the entire project lifecycle of implementing web-based systems.
• The candidate should be proficient in troubleshooting, self-motivated, able to work independently, and must demonstrate sound judgment with at least 5 years of professional experience.
• The applicant must have 5 years of experience working with Oracle RDBMS.
