Phlebotomist II
Job Title: Phlebotomist
Duration: 4 months
Location: Anderson, SC
Shift: Monday – Thursday, 8:00 AM – 6:30 PM
Job Summary:
The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) is the face of the organization, interacting directly with patients who seek routine or diagnostic bloodwork. The PSR II is responsible for collecting quality blood samples, preparing specimens for laboratory testing, and ensuring patient safety and comfort. This role demands professionalism, accuracy, confidentiality, and the ability to work independently.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform daily activities under area supervisor’s direction, accurately and on time

Maintain a safe, professional, and clean work environment

Collect and process clinical and forensic specimens in accordance with established protocols
-
Verify patient identification and ensure labels are accurate and affixed in the patient’s presence

Maintain and document accurate records

Promote a positive image to patients, clients, staff, and the general public

Exhibit leadership behavior and strong organizational commitment
Requirements:
Education:
-
High school diploma or equivalent (Required)
Work Experience:
-
Minimum 3 years of phlebotomy experience.
Skills & Attributes:

Excellent phlebotomy skills (pediatric, geriatric, capillary)

Strong attention to detail; quality and error-free work in a fast-paced setting

Independent, reliable, and punctual

Ability to manage multiple priorities in high-volume environment

Superior customer service and interpersonal communication skills

Comfortable with change and quick to adapt

Must comply with all company policies, dress code, and safety standards

Must have reliable personal transportation (bus, rideshare, Uber not accepted)

Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (if applicable)
Additional Notes:

Must be available for flexible scheduling including coverage at other Patient Service Center or In-Office Phlebotomy locations, sometimes on short notice

Training location may vary based on trainer availability
