Job Title: Phlebotomist III - Float
Location: East Haven, CT
Shift: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Duration: 3+ Months

Rate: $21.79/hr. on w2

Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced Phlebotomist III - Float to represent our team in East Haven, CT. You’ll be responsible for collecting quality blood samples, ensuring accurate specimen prep, and providing coverage across multiple sites. Strong leadership, patient interaction, and multitasking skills are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Draw blood and prepare specimens safely and accurately

• Float between multiple locations and roles as needed

• Deliver excellent patient care and explain procedures clearly

• Lead and mentor new staff; support onboarding at new sites

• Act as on-site contact for staff and provide feedback to supervisors

• Support high-volume or complex practices requiring advanced skills

• Collaborate with internal teams (Sales, Lab, IT, etc.) as needed

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Phlebotomy certification (required in CA, NV, WA; preferred elsewhere)

• 5+ years phlebotomy experience (including pediatric, geriatric, capillary)

• 3+ years in a Patient Service Center or similar environment preferred

• Strong customer service and data entry skills

Required Education

1. High school diploma or equivalent.

2. Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.

3. Phlebotomy certification preferred. Required in California, Nevada, and Washington.



Work Experience

1. Five years phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric and capillary collections.

2. Minimum 3 years in a PSC/IOP environment preferred.

3. Customer service in a retail or service environment preferred.

4. Keyboard/data entry experience.
