Job Title: Pharmacist
Pay range - $85 - $90/hr.
Location: Astoria, NY
Duration: 3+ Months (possible extension)

Note: Warehouse and DSCSA ( Drug Supply Chain Security Act ) experience is mandatory
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Temporary Pharmacist to support pharmacy operations during a period of increased workload and regulatory transition. This role plays a key part in maintaining operational efficiency and ensuring compliance with DSCSA regulations effective 11/27/2024. The ideal candidate will bring pharmacy warehouse experience and strong regulatory knowledge to contribute across compounding, order fulfillment, and consultation.
Responsibilities:

Efficiently manage and process medication orders for accurate distribution

Assist with DSCSA compliance and monitor regulatory changes

Support narcotics, 340B medications, and investigational drug tracking

Oversee inventory receiving, tracking, and audits for accuracy

Perform compounding tasks following safety and compliance standards

Collaborate with healthcare teams across departments and agencies

Provide clinical consultation to contracted Article 28 clinics

Assume full operational responsibility in the absence of Pharmacy Directors
Skills & Requirements:

Pharmacy License (New York State) – Required

Graduation from an accredited College of Pharmacy – Required

Experience:

Pharmacy warehouse/inventory management
-
Pharmacy automation, supply chain, and logistics
-
340B management experience
-
Experience in Correctional Health and Article 28 clinic settings – Preferred

Education: Bachelor's or Doctorate in Pharmacy

Physical & Work Environment Requirements: Warehouse-based; may involve standing, lifting, and extended periods of manual or automated handling

Must comply with DSCSA regulation

Must possess and maintain a valid NY State Pharmacy license throughout the assignment
