Overview:
The Division of Water Resources (DWR) is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Database Administrator. This role supports compliance with EPA’s Phase 2 NPDES Electronic Reporting Rule (eRule) and acts as a technical liaison between IT partners and program teams. The ideal candidate is comfortable presenting to diverse audiences both virtually and in-person.

The Division of Water Resources (DWR) is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Database Administrator. This role supports compliance with EPA’s Phase 2 NPDES Electronic Reporting Rule (eRule) and acts as a technical liaison between IT partners and program teams. The ideal candidate is comfortable presenting to diverse audiences both virtually and in-person.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development of reports to support DWR’s compliance with EPA’s NPDES eRule requirements.
- Serve as a technical program representative bridging the gap between IT and programmatic teams on eRule projects.
- Develop training materials and documentation for new and existing forms within MyTDEC Forms and e-reporting systems.
- Map data flows between systems and manage data exchanges with DWR and EPA databases.
- Provide outreach and training to internal and external staff on e-reporting and NPDES data management processes.
- Ensure data quality and maintain strong attention to detail.
- Deliver presentations and training sessions to varied audiences, both in-person and virtually.
- Provide excellent customer service and technical support to internal and external customers.
- Additional opportunities may involve projects utilizing ARC GIS and Tableau for data visualization and spatial analysis.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data quality.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, including the ability to present technical information clearly to diverse audiences.
- Experience with database management and reporting.
- Familiarity with EPA’s NPDES eReporting Rule and environmental data compliance is a plus.
- Proficiency in ARC GIS and Tableau is desirable but not required.
