Location: Plainsboro NJ
Contract: 6 Months and Possibility of Extension
Shift: 1st shift 8 hour days
Education: Associates degree required or equivalent work experience in a laboratory, supply chain, or technical operations environment.
Preferred: Bachelors degree in Chemistry, Biology, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific/technical field highly preferred
Raw Materials & Stockroom Coordinator
Position Summary
The Raw Materials & Stockroom Coordinator is responsible for end to end oversight of the Raw Materials (RM) Stockroom, ensuring safe, accurate, and efficient material flow in support of compounding, laboratory, and production operations. This role manages inventory levels, oversees material stocking and removal, processes split material requests, and maintains consumables while executing required quality and compliance routines.
The coordinator partners closely with the Stockroom Inbound MATT Coordinator, lab assistants, logistics, and robotic operations teams to enable seamless workflows and reliable inventory performance. Additionally, this role serves as a champion for Quality, Safety, and Sustainability across all stockroom activities and contributes to palette updates, process improvements, and broader inventory reliability initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
1. Raw Material Stockroom Operations
Own and operate the Raw Materials (RM) stockroom, ensuring full organization, accessibility, and compliance.
Prefill and stage all materials to increase efficiency for compounding workflows.
Maintain numerical/alphabetical organization of raw materials
Manage ingredient splits (5 g, 10 g, 15 g, 20 g, 50 g, 100 g):
o Prepare, label, and maintain available splits for assistants.
o Ensure accurate movement and CLASS updates when assistants take splits.
Manage ingredients out of palette, including identification, storage, and process compliance.
Relabeling of raw material to align with name adjustments, IHG updates, etc.
Monitor and maintain compounding hoods, ensuring proper airflow, cleanliness, etc.
2. Consumables & Daily/Weekly Operational Duties
Serve as coordinator for tasks typically shared by assistant groups; ensure oversight, planning, and execution.
Stock RM Consumables
Refill drawers when stock reaches ~30%.
Maintain cabinet storage with minimum of 2 units of each item (tissues, pipettes, gloves, labels, etc.).
Hood Consumables
Manage and restock supplies within the hoods, pipettes, gloves, and white-powder trash bins.
Refrigeration & Special Stock Tasks
Empty fridge stock bins (RM + Client + Buffer) every Tuesday and Friday.
Manage RM stock waste containers.
Control spreader kits and restock weekly (Fridays).
Work directly with Veolia for waste removal

3. Inventory, Ordering & SAP Administration
Raw Materials
Follow and adjust RM orders initiated by MATT.
Enter SAP orders for raw materials not managed via MATT.
Track RM order progress and physically receive deliveries.
Place RM into appropriate stock locations.
Review expired RM stocks and dispose of them at PP (waste).
Packaging & Consumables
Place orders for packaging and consumables.
Track order progress end-to-end.
Administratively receive packaging and consumable deliveries.
Validate and manage invoices for packaging and consumable orders.
Inventory Management
Conduct weekly inventory checks for items within Product
Ensure consistency, accuracy, and quality of packaging stock records.

4. Palette Evolution & Data Management
Manage changes related to palette evolution, including:
o Updating the MATT database.
o Placing new orders.
o Removing depreciated raw materials.
o Communicating changes to teams.

5. Collaboration & Coverage
Partner with the Stockroom Logistics Coordinator to maintain appropriate inventory levels and stockroom flow.
Provide coverage for one or multiple rolesincluding Stockroom Coordinator, Robot Operator, and Coordinatorduring absences.________________________________________
6. Quality Responsibilities
Promote and uphold Quality, Safety, and Sustainability standards as a key champion within RM Stockroom operations.
Drive adherence to quality standards, documentation accuracy, and process improvements.
Support audits, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications Required
Associates degree required or equivalent work experience in a laboratory, supply chain, or technical operations environment.
24+ years of experience in laboratory operations, stockroom management, or supply chain.
Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills.
SAP experience.
Ability to work in a fast paced environment with multiple priorities.
Ability to perform routine physical tasks (lifting/moving materials).
Preferred
Bachelors degree in Chemistry, Biology, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific/technical field highly preferred.
Experience in fragrance, flavor, cosmetic, or chemical industries.
Knowledge of CLASS, MATT, SAP, or similar systems.
Exposure to automation or robotic workflows.
