Job Summary:
The Licensed Respiratory Therapist assesses, implements, and evaluates the delivery of respiratory care services utilizing processes in accordance with hospital standards and department policies for the purpose of monitoring and evaluating patient status.

Job Summary:
The Licensed Respiratory Therapist assesses, implements, and evaluates the delivery of respiratory care services utilizing processes in accordance with hospital standards and department policies for the purpose of monitoring and evaluating patient status.
Responsibilities:
- Administer respiratory therapies including nebulizers, MDIs, aerosol/humidity therapy, medical gases, incentive spirometry, PEP therapy, and chest physiotherapy
- Perform pulse oximetry, respiratory mechanics, CPR, and assist with bronchoscopy
- Manage mechanical ventilation (invasive & noninvasive), including intubation, extubation, and suctioning
- Assess and deliver care in critical and noncritical care areas in accordance with policy
- Monitor patient response, adjust ventilator settings, and ensure proper ventilator maintenance
- Verify physician orders and complete accurate EMR documentation
- Respond to Code Blue, RIT/CRIT calls, and patient transports
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary care team
- Support quality improvement initiatives and mentor new staff as needed
- Demonstrate strong attention to detail, sound clinical judgment, and basic computer skills
Education & Credentials:
- Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care program
- Valid Oklahoma Provisional / Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) License or temporary letter to practice issued by the Oklahoma Medical Board
- CRT or RRT credential through the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
- BLS certification required within 2 months of hire

- 0–6 months of related respiratory care experience
