Shift: Work shift Monday - Friday (6:30Am-3:30Pm)EST
Job Description: The Patient Services Representative (PSR) is responsible for managing all front office duties at the Patient Service Center (PSC). This includes customer service, data entry, insurance billing, payments, problem resolution, and adhering to HIPAA regulations. The PSR will also be responsible for ordering office supplies and may support multiple locations. The role could involve cross-training as a PSR I to assist with overflow during high-volume times.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Greet customers in a professional and courteous manner.

Assist patients with kiosk sign-in and ensure the accuracy of information.

Contact clients to obtain patient orders.

Address and resolve customer inquiries efficiently.

Read, understand, and comply with departmental policies and procedures, including Procedure Manuals, Safety Manual, Compliance Manual, Employee Handbook, and Quality Assurance Manual.

Perform basic clerical duties such as filing, faxing, preparing mail, and some data entry.

Demonstrate organizational commitment and uphold the company s values.

Adhere to departmental and company policies and report to work on time.

Answer phone calls promptly and professionally, introducing yourself and the company.

Follow established protocols for reporting customer complaints.

Ensure HIPAA compliance regulations are followed at all times.

Complete all required training.

Assist in stocking office supplies.

Handle special projects and other duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager.
Job Qualifications:
Required Work Experience:
-
One year of customer service experience.
Preferred Work Experience:
-
Keyboard/data entry and PC experience.
Physical and Mental Requirements:
-
Prolonged standing and sitting.
-
Able to lift up to 25 pounds and carry up to 15 pounds for several minutes.

Ability to talk clearly and effectively.
-
Vision: Requires constant attention to details.
-
Walking, balancing, bending, kneeling, pushing/pulling, reaching, and twisting.
Knowledge:
-
Medical terminology knowledge is helpful but not required.
Skills:

Must be flexible and available based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, and overtime.

Strong communication skills with the ability to speak clearly and communicate effectively with customers and peers.

Good organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Capable of handling multiple priorities in a high-volume environment.

Ability to make decisions based on established procedures and demonstrate independent, sound judgment.
Education:

High school diploma or equivalent required.
