Phlebotomist II
Job Title: Phlebotomist II
Duration: 3months
Location: Clifton NJ
Shift: Mon, Tue, Wed 9a-5pm, Thurs 9a-4pm, Friday 8a-5pm.
Pay Range: $19.85/hr - $21.80/hr
Spanish Required - Yes
Position Summary:
The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) serves as the face of the company, interacting directly with patients either for routine health screenings or important diagnostic testing. This role requires skilled and accurate collection of blood specimens while maintaining patient trust and comfort. The PSR II adheres to established procedures, promotes confidentiality and professionalism, and may be assigned to a doctor’s office, a patient service center, or other locations as needed.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform daily activities accurately and on time under supervisor direction.

Maintain a safe, clean, and professional work environment.

Execute both forensic and clinical specimen collection confidently and precisely.

Verify patient identity and obtain patient initials/signature post-venipuncture to confirm proper labeling.

Maintain and update required records and documentation.

Explain procedures to patients to promote understanding and comfort.

Demonstrate organizational commitment and foster a positive public image of the company.

Provide exceptional customer service and ensure patient satisfaction.
Job Requirements:

Ability to provide accurate, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.

Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and without direct supervision.

Excellent phlebotomy skills, including for pediatric and geriatric patients.

Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.

Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record (if applicable).

Willingness to travel and cover multiple locations with minimal notice.

Strong multitasking abilities in high-volume settings.

Knowledge of and commitment to company policies, safety guidelines, and dress code.

Education & Certifications:

Required: High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred: Medical Assistant or Paramedic training

Preferred: Phlebotomy certification (Mandatory in CA, NV, WA)
Experience:

Minimum 3 years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections
-
At least 2 years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred

Customer service experience in retail or service industry preferred
-
Data entry and keyboarding skills required
Additional Job Details:

Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is required
