Phlebotomist I
Title: Phlebotomist
Shift: M to F 6 am to 3:30 pm and rotating Sat 6:30 am to 11:30 am
Duration: 4 Months

Overview:
The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) serves as the front-line representative for patients seeking laboratory and diagnostic services. This role involves performing high-quality blood draws and specimen preparation while ensuring accuracy, safety, and patient comfort. The PSR I provides excellent customer service, maintains confidentiality, and supports overall clinic efficiency in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform venipuncture, capillary, and pediatric/geriatric blood collections following established safety and quality standards.

Prepare, label, and process specimens for laboratory testing in compliance with chain-of-custody and CLIA/CAP guidelines.

Create a welcoming and professional environment by providing clear explanations and compassionate care to patients.

Maintain required documentation and ensure accuracy in patient records and EMR data entry.

Follow infection control and safety procedures to ensure a clean and compliant work area.

Demonstrate organizational commitment and uphold company values when interacting with patients, staff, and the public.

Work independently under minimal supervision while meeting daily performance expectations.

Support leadership goals by maintaining punctuality, reliability, and process excellence in all assigned duties.
Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.

Training: Medical Assistant, Phlebotomy, or Paramedic training preferred.

Certification: Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in select states).

Experience: Minimum 6 months of phlebotomy experience required; 1+ year preferred.

Technical Skills: Accurate data entry, EMR documentation, and specimen tracking.

Customer Service: Prior experience in retail, healthcare, or service environments preferred.
Additional Requirements:

Must demonstrate excellent phlebotomy skills with pediatric and geriatric patients.

Must be flexible and available for weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as needed.

Must have reliable personal transportation and live within 20–25 minutes of the assigned site.

Punctuality and consistent attendance are required; excessive tardiness or absenteeism may result in termination.
