Phlebotomist II
Duration: 2 months
Location: Superior CO
Shift: Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM – 2:30 PM (Lunch: 12:30 PM – 1:30 PM)
Job Summary:
The PSR II represents the face of the company to patients and is responsible for collecting quality blood samples and preparing specimens for laboratory testing. The role requires strong patient interaction skills, adherence to safety and confidentiality protocols, and the ability to work independently in various settings such as physician offices, patient service centers, or other assigned locations.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform venipuncture and capillary specimen collection (including pediatric and geriatric patients) safely and accurately.

Follow all established clinical and forensic specimen collection procedures.

Verify patient demographic information and ensure tubes are labeled in the presence of the patient, obtaining post-venipuncture signature confirmation.

Maintain accurate records and required documentation.

Provide clear explanations of procedures to patients to create a calm and trusting environment.

Promote a professional image and deliver high-quality service to patients, clients, coworkers, and the public.

Maintain a clean, safe, and professional workspace in compliance with company policies.

Demonstrate leadership behaviors and contribute to process improvements.

Travel to multiple locations with minimal notice and adapt to varying schedules as needed.
Requirements:
Education:
-
High school diploma or equivalent (Required)
Experience:
-
Minimum 3 years phlebotomy experience.
Skills & Abilities:

Strong phlebotomy skills with accuracy and compassion

Ability to perform in fast-paced, high-volume environments

Excellent communication and customer service skills

Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record (if applicable)

Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as needed

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Commitment to confidentiality, quality, and adherence to company policies and procedures

Must be open to traveling and covering multiple sites on short notice
