Location: Freeport TX
Duration: 4 Months and possible Temp to Hire/may extend
Location: Freeport, TX, 100% onsite
Shift: Monday 0 Thursday 10 hour days (possible OT) possible On-call time


Education: High School diploma or GED with Journeyman Certification in one traditional craft disciplines or equivalent experience will be considered. Five plus years Maintenance or equivalent Construction experience with demonstrated troubleshooting/diagnostic techniques.

Key Areas of Accountability / Responsibility

Demonstrate proficiency within core competencies in one of three primary disciplines; Mechanical, Civil, or Instrumentation & Electrical within a multi-skill environment.
Perform preventive/predictive maintenance tasks to enhance equipment reliability and maintain product quality in a RCM environment.
Troubleshoot, Repair, Rebuild, or Replace failing and or failed equipment efficiently and effectively.

Perform preventive/predictive maintenance tasks to enhance equipment reliability and maintain product quality in a RCM environment.
Troubleshoot, Repair, Rebuild, or Replace failing and or failed equipment efficiently and effectively.
Perform all tasks with highest quality.
Provide technical assistance as required.
Demonstrate a commitment to safety by performing all tasks safely and assuring all work performed on site is performed in a safe manner.
Document as found / as left conditions and brief description of what tasks performed on all corrective, preventative/predictive work orders for historical purposes.
Must be reliable and dependable. Tardiness and absenteeism must be kept at a minimum.
Provide input to RCAs and incident investigations.
Conduct oneself professionally in such a manner as to support a team environment.
Supports plant and corporate initiatives as outlined in the manufacturing plan. Follows the Manufex work processes.
Maintains skills and abilities through classroom training classes, computer based training modules, Required training sheets, etc. Helps assess training effectiveness and identify training needs. Helps develop and deliver training to others within the plant.
Works to SHE standards and encourages fellow colleagues to work to the same standards.
Displays and promotes positive safety behaviors at all times; uses proper personal protective equipment, appropriate safety tools, equipment and procedures to ensure that self and others go home safe each day; that area and equipment operate at the highest safety levels; that all people in the area comply with the safety directives and keep the area neat and clean.
Follows all SHE instructions and procedures to include awareness of and following all Client Life Saving Rules. Acts in such a way that safety awareness and accident prevention are considered in performing all tasks.
Ensures that all personal safety, quality and assigned training is up to date and in compliance.
Supports and follows the policy of reporting incidents, near misses and improvement possibilities.
Encourages co-workers and management to improve SHE results and incidents.
Ensures Quality procedures, Management Directives and Quality improvement projects are supported and followed.
Reports any quality deviations or non-conformances observed.
Availability and responsibilities of site call-out list schedule.

Authorities
Has the authority to intervene in the event of a quality or safety related concern, including stopping work and escalating the issue to supervision.
Calibrate, repair and/or rebuild equipment to current design specifications.
Projects/special assignments
Provide Technical assistance as required.
Provide contractor oversight as required
Complexity of the position
Must be able to work at elevated heights utilizing ladders, scaffolding, and personnel lifts.
Must be able to climb ladders and stairs.
Must be able to clean, test, remove, and install equipment throughout the plant site.
Must be able to squat, kneel, and bend over when working sometimes for extended periods of time.
Must be able to pull and tug on wrenches, when bolting and unbolting equipment and components.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
Must be able to demonstrate flexibility and dexterity to perform assigned tasks.
Must be able to Drive a Golf Cart and / or pull a work cart, loaded with tools and materials.
Requires ability to work overtime. Able to perform a wide variety of very diverse tasks safely with high quality in an efficient and effective manner.
Able to perform equally well on routine and high priority tasks and able to shift from one to the other at a moments notice.
Able to work independently and interdependently in a lean manufacturing team environment.
Must work with some level of autonomy without direct supervision.
Must have a technical understanding of a large variety of diverse and varied equipment in a highly automated facility.
Able to function within a tightly scheduled environment.
Able to perform to site standards with limited or varying quality of information.
Knowledge and educational level
The level of education generally necessary to effectively handle the jobs essential functions is a High School diploma or GED with Journeyman Certification in one traditional craft disciplines or equivalent experience will be considered.
Knowledge of and experience in core craft discipline
Knowledge of other relevant craft skill sets
Demonstrate competency of craft skill sets in this multi-craft environment
Required level of experiences
The level of experience generally necessary to effectively perform the jobs responsibilities is five plus years Maintenance or equivalent Construction experience with demonstrated troubleshooting/diagnostic techniques.
