Duration: 07/28/2025 – 11/06/2025
Shift: Varies, primarily 1st and a few 2nd shifts
Schedule: 5 Days Per Week, 40 Hours Per Week
Work Location: Various client facilities in the Greater Milwaukee area, Menomonee Falls, and West Bend
Job Summary:
A Medical Assistant is a healthcare professional and essential member of the patient-centered healthcare team. Responsible for helping patients feel at ease while working alongside the provider throughout the visit. This role requires maintaining Basic Life Support certification and compliance with educational and certification requirements. May be required to float across sites as needed.
Job Responsibilities:

Room patients using standard procedures to ensure optimal flow and customer service.

Perform clinical tasks: point-of-care testing, medication/vaccination administration, durable medical equipment application, phlebotomy, and assisting with procedures.

Handle administrative tasks: medication refills, prior authorizations, communicating normal results, MyChart messages, and paperwork.

Assist with scheduling and referral tracking.

Provide educational materials, instructions, and After Visit Summaries as directed.

Accurately document patient care in the EMR.

Escalate compliance or patient safety concerns to appropriate team members or leadership.

Conduct pre-visit planning and registry management.

Follow all safety and infection control standards.

Support inventory and equipment maintenance.

Perform specialty clinical and non-clinical tasks as directed.

May obtain appropriate patient consent documentation.

One (1) year of healthcare experience.
Education:
Required Education:

High School Diploma or GED
Plus one of the following: -
Completion of a Medical Assistant program

Completion of EMT-Basic course
-
On-the-job trained MA with one (1) year healthcare experience

Completion of MA Apprentice program
Licensure & Certifications:
Required:

American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers or equivalent
