Job Title: Phlebotomist i
Location: Covina, CA
Duration: 6 months + extension
Shift: Monday-Friday 7:30 - 3pm / Rotational Saturdays

Overview:
The Patient Services Representative I serves as the frontline representative for patients seeking routine health services or important diagnostic information. This role is responsible for collecting high-quality blood samples, preparing specimens for laboratory testing, and ensuring every patient interaction is handled with professionalism, accuracy, and care. The PSR I helps create a positive, trusting environment while following all established procedures and maintaining strict confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform daily duties accurately and on schedule under the supervision of the Area Supervisor.

• Provide a safe, clean, and professional work environment.

• Confidently perform both forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing in alignment with company procedures.

• Maintain accurate records, documentation, and specimen tracking.

• Deliver excellent patient service, fostering trust and promoting a positive company image.

• Communicate clearly and respectfully with patients, clients, and colleagues.

Requirements:

• Ability to produce high-quality, error-free work in a fast-paced setting.

• Ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision.

• Strong phlebotomy skills, including experience with pediatric and geriatric patients.

• Flexible work availability, including weekends, holidays, on-call shifts, and overtime.

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.

• Phlebotomy certification preferred (mandatory in CA, NV, and WA).

Experience:

• Minimum of 6 months phlebotomy experience required; 1+ years preferred.

• Customer service experience in retail or service environments preferred.

• Strong keyboarding and data entry skills required.

Additional Details:

• Position requires at least 1 year of phlebotomy experience.
