IT Change Communications Specialist
Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and organized IT Change Communications Specialist to join our Change Experience team.
This role will focus on both communication about IT Changes to our workforce, as well as project communications to parts of the IT organization.
The ideal candidate will have experience in internal communications, employee engagement, a knack for staying organized and managing deadlines, and the ability to simplify complex information into an understandable and approachable voice.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and Execute Communication Strategies:
o Create and execute internal communication plans to support project objectives and engagement initiatives.
o Ensure messages are tailored to resonate with IT professionals, fostering connection and involvement.
o Be the final set of eyes to proofread all communications to ensure proper grammar, spelling, and ensure all links are working properly.
Content Creation:
o Draft, edit, and produce a variety of communication deliverables, including emails, newsletters, intranet articles, slide decks, videos, and other materials.
o Maintain consistency in tone, style, and messaging to align with corporate standards and project goals.
Stakeholder Engagement:
o Collaborate with project leaders, IT teams, and other stakeholders to identify key messaging opportunities and challenges.
o Act as a trusted advisor to ensure communications are aligned with the audience s needs and preferences.
o Take ownership of project mailboxes, FAQs, etc to provide answers to incoming questions, and seek answers from the subject matter experts as needed.
Employee Engagement Support:
o Apply principles of IT employee engagement to ensure communication efforts effectively enhance connection and participation.
o Analyze and respond to feedback to adapt communication approaches as needed.
Information Organization:
o Independently organize and distill complex information into clear, concise, and engaging content.
o Ensure project updates and key messages are accessible and easily understood by technical and non-technical audiences alike.
o Synthesize communication strategies into documented communication plans.
Channel Management:
o Leverage a variety of internal corporate communication channels to maximize reach and impact.
o Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of communication campaigns, adjusting tactics to optimize results.
Qualifications:
Experience:
o Proven experience in internal corporate communications, or employee engagement, preferably within an IT department or tech company.
o Experience in Change Management is a plus.
o Experience with a global pharma company is a plus.
Skills:
o Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with an emphasis on clarity, approachability, and persuasion.
o Proficiency in creating a range of communication deliverables across multiple formats and channels.
o Demonstrated ability to self-manage all tasks and deliverables.
Knowledge:
o Familiarity with IT teams and their unique communication needs and preferences.
o Understanding of employee engagement strategies and their application to communication.
o Familiarity with content management systems.
o Understanding of common change management practices and principles.
