Phlebotomist I - 1st Shift
Job Title: Phlebotomist I - 1st Shift
Job Location: Hainesport, NJ 08036
Job Duration: 3 Months of contract
Shift: Monday to Friday: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
Every 3rd Saturday: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM (at a nearby PSC)
Pay range: $21/hr. on W2
Job Summary
The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) serves as the primary point of contact for patients, representing the company with professionalism and care. This role involves collecting quality blood specimens, preparing samples for laboratory testing, and ensuring a safe, accurate, and patient-focused experience. The PSR I fosters trust and confidence by clearly explaining procedures and performing phlebotomy in a skilled, safe, and efficient manner while maintaining strict confidentiality of patient information.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily activities accurately and in a timely manner under the supervision of the area supervisor
- Collect and process clinical and forensic specimens following established procedures
- Ensure a safe, clean, and professional work environment
- Maintain accurate records and required documentation
- Deliver excellent patient care while promoting trust and confidence
- Demonstrate organizational values and maintain a positive image with patients, clients, and the public
- Exhibit leadership behaviors and commitment to process excellence
Job Requirements
- Ability to deliver high-quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric experience
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, on-call shifts, and overtime as needed
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Medical training (Medical Assistant or Paramedic) preferred
- Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in CA, NV, and WA)
Experience
- Minimum 6 months of relevant experience required
- 1+ year of phlebotomy experience preferred
- Customer service experience in retail or service environments preferred
- Strong keyboarding and data entry skills required
