Job Posting Title: Specialty Operations Pharmacy Tech
Duration: 4 month assignment to start with potential to convert or be extended. NOT Guaranteed
Location: Remote
8am-4:30pm EST
12:30pm-8pm EST
Training Time: 2 weeks (10 business days)
Description:
The Specialty Operations Pharmacy Technician 2 May contact physicians for prescriptions clarification and may enter prescription orders into the system. They may also take inbound phone calls from patients and physicians. Also supports Pharmacists and Patients by ensuring adherence to Specialty Rx specific operational processes and programs developed to optimize health outcomes which includes effective communication with patients and providers. Decisions are typically focus on interpretation of area/department policy and methods for completing assignments. Works within defined parameters to identify work expectations and quality standards, but has some latitude over prioritization/timing, and works under minimal direction. Follows standard policies/practices that allow for some opportunity for interpretation/deviation and/or independent discretion.
Requirements:
Must be licensed as a pharmacy technician in their state of residence
Must be eligible to work with Medicare/Medicaid
National Certification
