Quality Technician III
Pay: $27 hourly
Job Description:
Hours of Work / Work Schedule / Flex-Time:
40+ hours, Monday Friday, standard business hours (8:00 AM 5:00 PM). Support for production day shift as required. Occasional off-hour support possible but limited.
Summary:
In this role, you will report directly to a Quality Supervisor. The position focuses on quality disposition of Advanced Optics parts and materials, product and material documentation review and release, and acting as a liaison between the Plant and key stakeholders. You will work closely with Engineering, Operations, and Procurement to drive an improved customer experience.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

Ensure adequacy of product quality and compliance to requirements.

Ensure accuracy and timeliness of quality data and system updates.

Disposition/transact production events and inventory related to part and material non-conformances.

Support containment and corrective action activities.

Monitor metrics consistent with job responsibilities.

Support plant safety programs to provide a safe working environment.

Achieve department requirements for safety, quality, and cost.

Drive process control, process discipline, and continuous improvement.
Required Education/Experience:

Associates Degree + 2 years of experience in a technical role within a manufacturing/production environment
OR -
High School Diploma/GED + 5 years of experience in a technical role within a manufacturing/production environment
Required Skills:

Flexibility to multitask and prioritize work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Excellent cross-functional communication skills.

Ability to learn new technology and processes quickly.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Desired Skills:
-
Previous quality control experience in a manufacturing or technical function.

Knowledge of ISO 9001.

Experience with procedure and work instruction interpretation.

Experience using ERP systems (e.g., SAP).
