Phlebotomist II
Job Title: Phlebotomist
Location: Cape Girardeau, MO
Duration: 3 Months
Shift: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Job Summary:
The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) represents the face of our company to patients. This position is responsible for collecting quality blood samples, preparing specimens for lab testing, and maintaining a safe and professional environment. The PSR II must exhibit strong customer service, excellent phlebotomy skills, and uphold confidentiality and accuracy in handling patient information.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform daily tasks accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor.

Maintain a safe, clean, and professional workspace.

Collect forensic and clinical specimens confidently and skillfully.

Verify patient identity and labeling of specimens in the presence of the patient.

Maintain accurate records and documentation.

Promote a positive image to patients, clients, and the public.

Exhibit leadership behaviors and process excellence.

Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including dress code and health & safety standards.
Job Requirements:

Phlebotomy Expertise:
-
Proven phlebotomy skills, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.

Ability to deliver high-quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.

Work independently with minimal supervision.

Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills.

Ability to multitask and manage priorities in a high-volume setting.

Flexible schedule including availability for weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime.

Travel & Mobility:

Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record (if applicable).

Willingness to travel and work at multiple locations on short notice.

Education & Certification:

Required: High school diploma or equivalent.
Work Experience:

Minimum 3 years of phlebotomy experience.
