Phlebotomist I
Job Title: Patient Services Representative I / Phlebotomist I
Location: Miramar, FL
Duration: 5 months
Shift: M-F - 7 am - 3 pm & Every Saturday - 6:30am-11am
Job Summary:
The PSR I is the first point of contact for patients, responsible for collecting quality blood samples and preparing them for lab testing. This role requires strong phlebotomy skills, excellent patient interaction, and adherence to established safety and confidentiality standards.
Key Responsibilities:

Collect and process clinical and forensic specimens safely and accurately

Explain procedures and build patient trust

Maintain accurate records and documentation

Support a safe, professional environment

Demonstrate leadership, efficiency, and confidentiality

Adhere to schedule and be punctual and reliable
Requirements:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent (required); medical assistant or paramedic training preferred

Certification: Phlebotomy certification (required in CA, NV, WA)

Experience: Minimum 6 months phlebotomy experience (required); 1+ year preferred

Skills:

Proficient in pediatric and geriatric phlebotomy

Strong customer service background

Keyboard/data entry skills

Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment

Flexible for weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime
