Payroll Coordinator/Facility Payroll Ambassador
Job Title: Payroll Coordinator / Facility Payroll Ambassador
Location: New York, NY 10004
Duration: 9 weeks
Shift: 8:00 AM-4:30 PM
Schedule: 5 days/week, 8 hours/day, 40 hours/week
Work Setting: Onsite
Pay Range: $30-$33/hr.
Schedule Notes: Facility Payroll Ambassador role acting as the liaison between facility staff and Payroll.
Required Skills & Experience
• Minimum 1 year of experience in timesheet preparation and reconciliation
• Minimum 1 year of experience in payroll preparation
• Experience using payroll or timekeeping software systems
• Ability to resolve employee payroll inquiries using system tools, reports, and policies
• Experience creating and maintaining ServiceNow tickets to manage and track escalated inquiries
• Strong customer service experience supporting employee inquiries
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Strong research, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Strong technology and computer skills
Preferred Skills & Experience
• Knowledge of customer service delivery within payroll operations
• Experience collaborating with Payroll and HR teams
• Experience supporting payroll shared services or call center environments
• Experience assisting employees with ESS, MSS, and ERC webpage navigation
Education

Job Summary
The Payroll Coordinator serves as a Facility Payroll Ambassador, acting as the liaison between facility staff and the payroll department. This role provides customer service to employees, assists with payroll and timekeeping inquiries, and uses enterprise systems and organizational policies to resolve issues efficiently.
Job Responsibilities
• Provide professional and quality customer service to employees through adherence to departmental scripts and compliance with corporate policies and procedures
• Resolve employee inquiries utilizing enterprise systems, reports, policies, and procedures
• Identify and escalate complex payroll or timekeeping issues and provide follow-up and closure
• Create and maintain ServiceNow tickets to ensure efficient handling and prompt response of escalated inquiries
• Complete payroll and timekeeping related forms
• Guide employees through troubleshooting and navigation assistance with ESS, MSS, and ERC webpages
• Collaborate with Payroll and HR teams to resolve employee issues
• Provide backup coverage for the Payroll Shared Services Call Center
• Participate in trainings and review communications to stay updated on applicable software, policies, and procedures
• Assist with special projects and perform other duties as assigned
