Job Title: MRI Technologist
Job Location: Elmhurst, NY 11373
Job Duration: 3-4 Months(possibility to extension)
Shift: 4:00PM - 12:00AM
Pay Range: $67 - $69/hr. on w2
Job Summary:
- Performs MRI procedures ensuring patient safety, accurate imaging, and quality control.
- Screens and interviews patients for MRI safety prior to procedures.
- Explains procedures and addresses patient concerns.
- Positions patients and operates MRI equipment, selecting proper techniques and software parameters.
- Maintains cleanliness and organization of MRI rooms and equipment.
- Evaluates image quality and ensures proper identification.
- Uses EMR to document procedures and maintain records.Manages imaging supply inventory.
- Performs related work as assigned.
Required Skills & Experience:
-
One (1) year of MRI experience with relevant equipment – Required.
Education:
-
Associate’s degree from a Radiologic Technology program – Required.
Licensure & Certifications:
- Valid NYS Radiologic Technologist license – Required.
- Advanced-level certification from ARRT or ARMRIT – Required.
Preferred Certifications:
-
Basic Life Support (BLS) – AHA – Preferred.
