Job Title: Clinical Pharmacist
Job Location: Newburyport, MA 01950
Job Duration: 5 Months Contract (possible extension)
Pay Range: $55 to $57/hr. on W2.
Regular Schedule: Flexible to choose their hours and shifts, but they must be able to close 3 days a week (closing shift ends at 9pm). Shift options:
Option 1: Five days M-F: 2 shifts 9am-5:30pm & 3 shifts 12:30pm-9pm
Option 2: Four days M-F: 1 shift 9am-7:30pm & 3 shifts 10:30am-9pm

Duties:
- Consults with nursing and medical staff on prescription orders, patient reactions, and errors or complaints.
- Conducts drug utilization reviews and prepares drug review criteria for medical staff approval.
- Interprets physicians' prescriptions and compounds and dispenses medications within regulatory guidelines.
- Consults with customers regarding use of medications and potential drug interactions.
- Counsels customers and handles complex problem resolution.
- Performing first and second verification of prescription orders, performing DUR’s, outreach to prescriber offices.
- Fielding phone calls from patients as well as prescriber’s offices
Qualifications:
- BS or PharmD in Pharmacy
- PharmD degree preferred.
- MA and CA RPh license required.
Skills:
- Computer skills, patient counseling skills able to interact with prescribers.
- Accurate, efficient and excellent customer service skills.
- At least one year as a registered pharmacist, retail or similar experience preferred.
