Payroll Specialist

Job Title: Payroll Specialist
Location: Brooklyn, NY 11212
Duration: 06/08/2026 – 09/05/2026
Shift: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Schedule: 5 days/week, 7.5 hours/day, 37.5 hours/week
Pay Range: $23-$25/hr.
Schedule Notes:

• UKG EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
• MON - FRI 9A-5P
• 1–3 years’ experience: $39.29 - $45.51
• 3–5 years’ experience: $45.52 – 57.69
  Work Setting: Non-Clinical

Required Skills & Experience:

• Minimum of two (2) years Audit experience

Preferred Skills & Experience:

• UKG experience
• Experience with or knowledge of collective bargaining agreements

Preferred Education:

• Associate/Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field (Economics, Finance, Business Administration, etc.)

• Perform all aspects of audit within the hospital including billing, accounts receivable/payable, and non-financial and clinical areas
• Ensure policies and procedures are followed and data accuracy is maintained

• Review/oversee KRONOS timecards via interaction with department timekeepers
• Prepare/process accurate biweekly payrolls in accordance with policies and regulations
• Reconcile and audit after-payroll reports
• Process voluntary deductions and tax withholding forms
• Work with Human Resources to maintain payroll systems for hourly and salaried employees
• Process direct deposit accounts, garnishments, child support, levies, etc.
• Assist employees with payroll-related issues and inquiries
• Maintain understanding of payroll systems and payroll flow (Infor/Lawson, KRONOS, etc.)
• Perform additional duties as assigned
