Sourcing/Procurement Representative

The Sourcing Specialist will support the Sourcing Manager and product segments by managing commodity strategies, supplier relationships, cost savings initiatives, and sourcing process improvements. This role focuses on direct and/or indirect sourcing, emphasizing cost productivity, supplier performance, negotiation, and SAP-based quoting activities.

• Develop and execute local sourcing strategies aligned with cost, quality, and delivery targets

• Manage supplier selection, development, consolidation, and performance optimization

• Lead quoting, cost analysis, and negotiation for assigned commodities

• Expedite orders, resolve delivery issues, and ensure timely material availability

• Support NPI programs with early supplier engagement and lifecycle management

• Drive continuous improvement in sourcing processes (e.g., digitization, dashboards)

• Monitor supplier performance and implement corrective actions when needed

• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure supply chain objectives are met

• Education:

  • Associate's degree in Engineering or a high school diploma with 5+ years of relevant work experience in the assigned commodity

• Licensure & Certifications:

  • Supply chain certifications preferred (e.g., CSCP, CPSM, CPM)

• Required Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in sourcing, supply chain, or procurement

  • Experience managing supplier relationships and negotiations

  • Proficient in SAP

  • Strong quoting experience (RFQ/RFP processes)

  • Ability to expedite orders and resolve supply issues

  • Technical understanding of assigned commodities and cost drivers

  • Strong analytical, cost analysis, and strategic sourcing skills

  • Ability to manage supplier performance (quality, delivery, cost)

  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and NPI involvement

• Preferred Skills & Experience:

  • Direct and indirect sourcing strategy experience

  • Background in manufacturing environments

  • Experience with database management and process digitization
