Shipping and Receiving Clerk
Title: Shipping/Receiving Clerk
Duration: 7 months, possibility of extension
Shift/Time Zone: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Pay Rate: $17.19 in W2 contract

Job Description:
The Shipping/Receiving Clerk is responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the receiving, picking, packing, and shipping operations at the regional client supply fulfillment center. The clerk will ensure all materials are properly processed, stored, and shipped according to company standards.

Receiving Duties:
-
Unload trucks, inspect and verify incoming materials, and process them in the Materials Management system.

Report discrepancies between materials and shipping documentation to the Warehouse Supervisor.

Ensure proper stock rotation by placing items in designated storage areas based on receipt dates and expiration dates.

Shipping Duties:
-
Prepare and process outbound shipments, including documentation and labeling.

Assist in pre-packing products and ensure accurate order fulfillment.

Operate packing equipment such as air pillows and tape guns to ensure safe and efficient packaging.

Material Handling:
-
Manage returned goods according to the company's SOP.

Deliver stock to appropriate staging areas for departments and assist in inventory management.

Help with picking, packing, and delivery of both internal and external orders as needed.

Perform cycle counts and assist in full physical inventory processes.

Safety & Compliance:
-
Follow safety protocols when operating material handling equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.).

Adhere to all relevant company policies and OSHA guidelines, maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

Other Duties:
-
Assist in record storage and retrieval processes.

Identify and report short-dated materials (less than 30 days of shelf life) to the Warehouse Supervisor.

Perform general warehouse duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:
-
Experience:
-
1 year of relevant work experience in a shipping/receiving or warehouse environment preferred.
-
Experience operating material handling equipment (forklift, pallet jack, etc.) is a plus. Certification for Electric Walkie Stacker and pallet jack is a bonus.

Skills:
-
Ability to operate various warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and packing tape guns.

Good organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
-
Ability to work in a team environment and follow both oral and written instructions.

Capable of lifting and carrying up to 30 lbs and performing other physical tasks in a temperature-controlled warehouse.

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent required.
