Job Description:
Role Overview:
- We are seeking a Project Engineer with a strong background in Electrical Engineering and a proven track record of successfully completed electrical projects.
- This role involves organizing, coordinating, and overseeing engineering design while compiling technical and project support documentation.
- Acting as the owner’s representative, the Project Engineer ensures all engineering aspects of assigned projects meet quality, safety, and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Coordination & Engineering Oversight
- Serve as the technical coordinator for all engineering tasks within assigned projects.
- Act as the engineering subject matter expert (SME) during RFP and bid reviews.
- Assist the Project Leader/Manager in project execution, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards.
- Develop and review engineering specifications and ensure alignment with project requirements.
- Manage the Request for Information (RFI) process on behalf of the Project Leader/Manager.
- Review development information, land utilization, site design, and energy performance assessments.
- Assess zoning and land use permit requirements to ensure compliance.
- Provide technical input for EPC RFPs and proposal reviews.
- Develop project-specific EPC exhibits and assess EPC bid compliance.
- Identify deviations from EPC bid standards and review proposed specification changes.
- Coordinate engineering reviews and resolve technical challenges with EPC and OE teams.
- Monitor on-site compliance with engineering specifications during project execution.
- Support troubleshooting efforts and provide expertise during project startup and commissioning.
Education:
- BS in Electrical, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years as a Project Engineer or experience supporting a Project Manager in a multi-functional team.
Technical Expertise:
- Ability to develop, manage, and monitor project engineering performance to ensure compliance with deadlines and quality standards.
Problem-Solving:
- Strong analytical skills with a detail-oriented approach to engineering challenges.
Communication Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication, including report writing and presentation capabilities.
Software Proficiency:
- Skilled in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Project Management:
- Experience in technical troubleshooting, specification reviews, and bid evaluations.
