Summary:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform equipment and facility installations, preventive maintenance, and repairs as needed including but not limited to carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and light construction.
Responsibilities:
- Perform facility installations and repairs as requested by customers or identified through routine audits, including carpentry, electrical, plumbing (boilers, chillers, dust collectors, air handling units, fire alarm systems, etc.), and light construction.
- Work collaboratively with various departments to troubleshoot and resolve facility and equipment issues.
- Complete emergency repairs as needed to maintain operational continuity.
- Monitor facilities and manufacturing operating equipment daily, troubleshooting problems and inefficiencies, and recommending solutions.
- Identify existing and potential operational problems and inefficiencies; propose and implement resolutions.
- Participate in regulatory inspections from agencies such as FDA, Environmental Protection Agency, Utility Authorities, and local Fire Department.
- Assist in the development and implementation of maintenance strategies and departmental objectives.
- Provide after-hours and weekend emergency service support as needed.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma required.
- Proficient in English.
- Up to 3 years of related work experience preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Position classified as Warehouse or Production.
- Regularly lift and/or move objects weighing 10-50 lbs.
- Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Occasionally required to sit, climb, or balance.
- Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- Work performed indoors and outdoors, subject to varying environmental conditions including temperature changes.
- Medium work: exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 30 pounds frequently, and up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects.
Additional Physical Requirements:
- Bending: 1-4 hours daily
- Climbing: 1-4 hours daily
- Hand manipulation (fine manipulation) required, especially left hand.
