Phlebotomist I
Job Title: Patient Services Representative I (PSR I)
Location: Mount Pleasant SC
Shift: 7:45am-4pm Monday-Thursday Work location is Mt Pleasant
Duration: 5 Months
Candidates must live within 20-25 minutes commute

Position Summary:
The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) is the face of our organization and a key member of our patient care team. The PSR I is responsible for skillfully drawing blood specimens, preparing samples for laboratory testing, and providing a professional, caring experience for patients. In this role, you will build trust with patients, ensure high standards of safety and accuracy, and support timely and efficient lab operations.
This role requires a strong commitment to punctuality, reliability, and flexibility in scheduling, including availability on weekends, holidays, and for overtime if needed.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform blood collection (phlebotomy) from patients of all age groups including pediatric and geriatric.

Prepare specimens for laboratory analysis following standard procedures.

Provide excellent customer service and maintain a calm, professional demeanor.

Explain procedures clearly to patients to ensure comfort and understanding.

Maintain accurate documentation and follow confidentiality protocols.

Adhere to all safety and quality standards to ensure error-free work.

Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.

Demonstrate leadership behaviors and organizational commitment in all duties.

Work independently with minimal supervision and manage time effectively.
Minimum Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent (Required)

Experience: At least 6 months of phlebotomy experience (Required)

1+ years preferred
-
Previous customer service experience in a healthcare or retail environment preferred

Certifications:
-
Phlebotomy certification required for candidates applying in California, Nevada, and Washington

Medical Assistant or Paramedic training preferred

Technical Skills: Proficient in keyboarding and data entry
Additional Requirements:

Commute: Candidates must reside within a 20–25 minute commute of the worksite.

Transportation: Must have reliable transportation to and from the worksite.

Attendance: Must be available for the full shift, on time, with consistent attendance. Excessive tardiness or absenteeism will not be tolerated.

Flexibility: Must be available for varied scheduling including weekends, holidays, and on-call/overtime as needed.
