Sr. HR Associate
Job Title: Sr. HR Associate
Location: Axis, AL 36505
Duration: 5 months W2 contract. (Temp to Hired)
Shift: 8:00Am – 5:00Pm
Position Overview:
The Sr. HR Associate will support plant management and act as a liaison between the plant and community, engaging in key HR functions such as onboarding, recruiting, training coordination, and payroll. This role will provide administrative and HR support, ensuring efficient and smooth operations at the plant
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate plant employee activities, community events, and other site activities, including budgeting and planning.
- Assist with travel arrangements for management, visitors, and candidates.
- Oversee plant services such as janitorial, vending, and record storage, and manage site communications and social media.
- Process invoices in SAP, manage business equipment, and prepare requisitions.
- Coordinate the service award program, the STRIVE program, and wellness initiatives.
- Ensure employees have proper badges, handle incoming/outgoing mail, and serve as document control coordinator.
- Process payroll, PTO accruals, and employee data updates in Kronos and SAP.
- Conduct employee onboarding, including background checks, I-9, E-Verify, and orientation scheduling.
- Manage hiring processes, phone screen candidates, and coordinate interviews.
- Administer programs like STD/FMLA claims, employee referral program, open enrollment, and performance reviews.
- Maintain employee files, coordinate regulatory/non-regulatory training, and work with subject matter experts to update training.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred. HR Certification is a plus.
- 3-5 years in HR administration within a manufacturing environment, with payroll/HR experience preferred.
- Strong SAP, Microsoft Suite, and Success Factors (or similar LMS) experience. Kronos experience preferred.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational, communication, and confidentiality skills. Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Adaptable to diverse tasks and able to maintain composure and efficiency.
- Strong time management, teamwork, and independence in task execution.
- Upholds a high standard of confidentiality and professionalism.
