Job Description:
- The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) represents the face of the company to patients who come in as part of their health routine or for insights into life-defining health decisions.
- Draws quality blood samples from patients and prepares specimens for lab testing following established practices and procedures.
- Has direct patient contact and creates an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures and drawing blood specimens in a skillful, safe, and accurate manner.
- Demonstrates Leadership Behaviors with a focus on process excellence, confidentiality, and accuracy of patient information.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor.
- Maintain a safe and professional environment.
- Perform both forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties following established practices and procedures.
- Maintain required records and documentation.
- Demonstrate organizational commitment and promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public.
Job Requirements:
- Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision.
- Excellent phlebotomy skills including pediatric and geriatric patients.
- Flexible and available based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime.
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Medical training (medical assistant or paramedic) preferred.
- Phlebotomy certification preferred (Required in California, Nevada, and Washington).
Work Experience:
- Minimum 6 months experience required.
- One (1)+ years phlebotomy experience preferred.
- Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred.
- Keyboard/data entry experience required.
Additional Requirements:
- State of Nevada Lab Assistant License required.
- Position is not eligible for remote work.
- No additional hospital credentialing required.
- No COVID vaccination requirement.
