Phlebotomist II
Location: Fort Worth, TX, 76107
Duration: 5+ Months
Shift: 8am-1pm M-F rotating Saturdays
Position Summary
The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) serves as the primary patient-facing representative, delivering exceptional customer service while performing high-quality phlebotomy and specimen collection. This role is responsible for accurate blood collection, specimen processing, patient identification verification, and maintaining strict compliance with company policies, safety standards, and confidentiality guidelines.
The PSR II ensures patient comfort, builds trust, and demonstrates process excellence in both clinical and forensic specimen collection environments.
Key Responsibilities

Perform venipuncture, capillary, pediatric, geriatric, and forensic specimen collections in accordance with established procedures.

Prepare, label, and process specimens accurately for laboratory testing.

Verify patient demographic information and obtain patient signatures post-venipuncture to confirm proper labeling.

Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA and company standards.

Demonstrate strong customer service skills while explaining procedures and ensuring patient comfort and safety.

Follow all Employee Health & Safety, dress code, and company policies and procedures.

Maintain a safe, clean, and professional work environment.

Handle high-volume workflow with accuracy and efficiency.

Work independently with minimal supervision.

Travel to multiple Patient Service Centers or physician offices as needed.

Maintain reliable transportation and valid driver’s license (if applicable).

Education & Certification
-
High School Diploma or GED required
-
Medical Assistant or Paramedic training preferred

Phlebotomy Certification preferred (Required in CA, NV, WA)
Experience Requirements
-
Minimum 3 years of phlebotomy experience
-
Must include pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections

Minimum 2 years in a Patient Service Center (PSC) environment preferred

Customer service experience in retail or service industry preferred
-
Data entry experience required
