Job Title: Payroll Training Specialist
Job Location: Bronx, NY, 10461
Job Duration: 3+ Month (with possible extension)
Shift: 9 am to 5 pm
Pay Range: $30 - $34/hr. on w2
Note: Experience with Content development software (Adobe Captivate, Articulate 360) & creating training module is required.
Job Description:
Under the supervision of the Payroll, Training & Process Improvement Lead, the Temporary Payroll Training Assistant will assist with developing, planning, and implementing employee training, communications, and process improvements for NYC Client employees and the payroll operations team. The role involves supporting training initiatives and coordinating suitable solutions for employees.
Duties:
- Learn payroll functions to develop training materials.
- Identify and improve payroll processes.
- Collaborate with payroll department leads to assess and fulfill training needs.
- Create surveys to evaluate training effectiveness.
- Assist with scheduling training sessions.
- Develop instructional content for new hires and refresher courses.
- Provide support for payroll process improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 7 years of professional experience.
- At least 1 year of management experience in relevant roles (e.g., education, retail, hospitality, HR, healthcare, sales, marketing, customer service).
- Experience in designing and assessing training programs.
- Knowledge of Human Resource management (preferred).
- Strong customer service and personal service skills, including employee needs assessment and satisfaction evaluation.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), QuickBooks, and Pay Choice or Payroll Associates experience preferred.
Required Education: Bachelor’s degree in education, Communications, Business, Marketing, HR (preferred).
