Front End Developer

• Client is looking for an outstanding, experienced, and independent frontend developer to develop, create, and maintain internal business tools and applications.
• This position is part of a newly created group that operates like a smaller company within the greater client, focused on developing and delivering internal tools and apps that enable new capabilities and drive the business forward.
• The group has a startup feel with high visibility and opportunities.
• We are looking for someone who can help establish this team and make a lasting impact.
• We utilize an MVP (Minimal Viable Product) methodology and expect you to know when it’s “good enough for now” without sacrificing long-term vision or causing massive rework.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, write, test, and deploy code with limited direction and oversight.
• Deliver with minimal bugs for success in this role.

• Commenting, testing, and documentation while meeting deadlines.
• Be methodical and detail-oriented in a fast-changing environment.

• Work with cross-functional teams, bringing technical expertise and a positive attitude to guide toward the best solutions.

• JavaScript (VueJS)/HTML5/CSS – Focused on frontend with minimal backend expectations.
• Communicating and interacting with REST APIs (requesting & communicating almost exclusively through API endpoints).
• Git (e.g., GitLab), Pivotal Tracker, Jira, Slack, Kubernetes.
• Developing intuitive UI/UX, cross-browser compatibility, and general web standards (e.g., Bootstrap).
• Test Driven Development (TTD).

• Strong Communication & Collaboration: Ability to work with customers of varying roles and experience levels.
• Adaptability & Continuous Learning: Handle unexpected challenges and learn new skills/methodologies as needed.

• Understanding of MVP and its impact on customers.
• Full-stack development knowledge or ability to specify required data exposure.
• Familiarity with software development methodologies (e.g., Scrum) and tools (e.g., Kanban boards).
• Expertise in VueJS framework for interactive frontends.

• Candidates with previous project portfolios and example code will receive higher consideration.
