Job Title: Generation Project Manager
Job Location: Surry, VA
Job Duration: 11-12 Months (possibility of extension)

Job Summary:

  • Working on large capital upgrade projects, examples include: the reactor coolant pumps, fuel handling equipment, polar crane (reactor building), and feed water heater replacements projects.

Education:

  • BS degree in Engineering, Business or Construction Management - Preferred.

Years of Experience:

  • 10+ years of working industry experience.
  • 5+ years of PM experience.
  • Prior experience working in a corporate environment for a Nuclear utility - Preferred.
  • Operations experience.
  • Construction management experience.
  • Prior experience working in a corporate environment for a Nuclear utility.

Key Skills & Experience:

  • PM Experience; Product/schedule/budget experience with a large complex project.
  • Design Background.
  • Experience Managing project lifecycle which includes scoping engineering and design, contract management, risk analysis, cost, Product and schedule, planning & work management process, implementation, construct, execution, documentation, closeout.
  • Skilled in developing, implementing and managing new construction and/or improvement projects that enhance the overall reliability, efficiency and safety of the plant.
  • Ability to develop, manage and monitor project performance to ensure results meet project requirements and schedules.

Soft Skill Requirements (Team Fit and Personality Requirements):

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including interpersonal, facilitation, and presentation capabilities.
  • Ability to lead, collaborate, or work effectively with a variety of teams, including multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Ability to work and develop rapport with all levels of management and staff.
  • Effective negotiating skills.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in project management, relevant technologies, and leadership in the assigned project areas.
  • Strong team building skills, demonstrated skill and ability in effectively leading teams to achieve project goals and milestones.
  • Ability to coordinate the resolution of technical problems and implement changes.
  • Ability to work and develop rapport with all levels of management and staff.
  • Ability to represent the project and the company in public forums.
