Phlebotomist I - 1st Shift

Job Title: Phlebotomist I

Location: Cos Cob, CT
Shift: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM, Monday–Friday
Duration: 3+ months
Pay Rate: $21/hr (W2)

Job Summary:
The PSR I serves as the primary patient contact, responsible for drawing blood specimens and preparing them for lab testing. This role requires accuracy, professionalism, and the ability to create a comfortable, trustworthy environment for patients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform blood draws (including pediatric and geriatric patients) and specimen processing
• Ensure accurate documentation and maintain patient confidentiality
• Follow established procedures for clinical and forensic collections
• Maintain a safe, clean, and professional workspace
• Provide excellent customer service and support patients during procedures

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Phlebotomy certification preferred
• 6+ months experience (1+ year preferred)
• Strong data entry and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Flexibility for weekends, holidays, and overtime if needed

Preferred:

• Medical assistant or paramedic training
• Prior experience in healthcare or service-related roles
