Phlebotomist I
Job Title: Phlebotomist I
Duration: 3 - 4 Months
Locations: San Bernardino, CA
Shift: M-F 6:30AM-3:30PM
State of Credentials Licenses Required:Yes, CPT license
Pay range : $22/hr - $27.20/hr
Position Summary:
The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) serves as the face of the organization, providing exceptional service to patients who visit for routine health screenings or important diagnostic testing. This position is responsible for collecting quality blood samples and preparing specimens for laboratory testing in accordance with established protocols. The PSR I ensures a professional, compassionate, and trustworthy environment by clearly explaining procedures, maintaining patient comfort, and performing blood draws with accuracy and care.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform daily activities accurately and efficiently under the direction of the area supervisor.

Maintain a safe, clean, and professional work environment at all times.

Confidently perform both forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing following established procedures.

Ensure all required records and documentation are maintained accurately and in compliance with regulatory standards.

Demonstrate organizational commitment and promote a positive image of the company to patients, clients, employees, and the general public.

Exhibit excellent communication and customer service skills to create a welcoming and supportive patient experience.
Job Requirements:

Ability to produce high-quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Strong phlebotomy skills, including experience with pediatric and geriatric patients.

Flexible and available to work based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as required.
Education:
-
High School Diploma or equivalent – Required
-
Medical training such as Medical Assistant or Paramedic – Preferred
-
Phlebotomy Certification – Preferred (Required in California, Nevada, and Washington)
Work Experience:
-
Minimum of 6 months of phlebotomy experience – Required
-
1 year or more of phlebotomy experience – Preferred
-
Customer service experience in a retail or service environment – Preferred

Keyboard and data entry proficiency – Required
