Duration: 3+ Months contract (Possible Extension)
 
Pay Rate: $25/hr. on W2
 
Shift: Mon - Fri (9:00 am – 5:30 pm).
 
Position Summary
  • The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) serves as the face of the company for patients seeking routine care or making important, life-defining health decisions.
  • This role is responsible for performing high-quality blood specimen collection and processing while ensuring patient safety, confidentiality, and comfort.
  • The PSR II builds trust with patients by clearly explaining procedures and delivering services in a skillful, accurate, and professional manner.
  • Assignments may include a doctor’s office, patient service center, or other locations based on business needs.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform daily duties accurately, efficiently, and on time under the direction of the Area Supervisor.
  • Draw quality blood samples following established clinical and forensic collection procedures.
  • Prepare and process specimens for laboratory testing.
  • Verify patient demographics and initials; obtain patient signature post-venipuncture to confirm correct labeling in the patient’s presence.
  • Maintain required records and documentation.
  • Ensure a safe, clean, and professional work environment.
  • Demonstrate leadership behaviors and process excellence.
  • Uphold confidentiality and accuracy of patient information.
  • Promote a positive image of the company to patients, clients, coworkers, and the public.
 
Required Skills & Abilities
  • Ability to produce error-free work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Strong independent work skills with minimal on-site supervision.
  • Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
  • Strong decision-making and judgment within established procedures.
  • Superior customer focus with clear, transparent communication.
  • Adaptability and willingness to embrace change.
  • Knowledge of business operations and patient service standards.
 
Schedule & Work Conditions
  • Shift: Closing shift.
  • Hours: 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM, Monday–Friday.
  • Weekend, holiday, on-call, and overtime availability required as staffing needs dictate.
  • Travel required; must be flexible to work at multiple locations with minimal notice.
  • Training locations may vary based on trainer availability.
 
Education & Certification:
  • High school diploma or equivalent (required).
  • Medical Assistant or Paramedic training (preferred).
  • Phlebotomy certification (preferred; required in CA, NV, and WA).
 
Experience Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
  • Minimum 2 years in a Patient Service Center environment (preferred).
  • Customer service experience in retail or service settings (preferred).
  • Keyboarding and data entry experience.
 
Additional Job Details:
  • Phlebotomy plus point-of-care testing performed on site.
  • Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record required (if applicable).
 
Credentialing Requirements:
  • MMR.
  • Varicella.
  • Tdap.
  • TB Testing.
  • COVID-19 vaccination.
  • Influenza vaccination.
