Job Duration: 4+ Months (Possibility of extension/ Temp to Hire)
Shift: M-F 6:00 AM - 4:00 PM, Rotational Saturdays 6:30 AM - 11:00 AM
Job Summary:
- The Patient Services Representative I is the frontline representative for patients seeking routine health services or diagnostic insights.
- This role is responsible for collecting high-quality blood samples, preparing specimens for laboratory testing, and delivering a patient experience built on trust, clarity, and professionalism.
- The PSR I follows all established procedures and demonstrates strong leadership behaviors, accuracy, and confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform daily tasks accurately, efficiently, and on schedule under the direction of the Area Supervisor.
- Maintain a safe, professional, and patient-focused environment.
- Confidently perform both forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing following all procedural guidelines.
- Create a positive and supportive experience for patients by explaining procedures and ensuring comfort during specimen collection.
- Maintain complete and accurate records, documentation, and data entry.
- Represent the organization with professionalism to patients, clients, colleagues, and the general public.
Job Requirements:
- Ability to perform high-quality, error-free work in a fast-paced setting.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric draws.
- Flexibility to work based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime.
Reliable transportation (public transit, ride-share, or drop-off not considered reliable). - Consistent punctuality and attendance; must be able to stay for the full scheduled shift.
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
- Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in California, Nevada, and Washington).
Work Experience:
- Minimum 6 months experience required.
- Customer service experience in retail or service environments preferred.
- Keyboarding and data entry skills required.
