Job Summary:
The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) serves as the primary point of contact for patients, representing the organization with professionalism, compassion, and accuracy. This role is responsible for performing high-quality blood specimen collection and processing while creating a safe, welcoming environment for patients. The PSR I builds patient trust by clearly explaining procedures and ensuring specimens are collected skillfully, safely, and in compliance with established protocols. Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform daily work activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor
- Draw blood specimens from patients of all ages, including pediatric and geriatric populations
- Perform both clinical and forensic specimen collection and processing in accordance with established policies and procedures
- Prepare, label, and process specimens for laboratory testing
- Maintain accurate records, documentation, and patient information
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and maintain a clean, professional work environment
- Provide excellent customer service and create a positive patient experience
- Demonstrate organizational commitment and leadership behaviors
- Promote a positive image of the organization to patients, clients, employees, and the public
Job Requirements:
- Ability to deliver high-quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision
- Strong phlebotomy skills, including experience with pediatric and geriatric patients
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Proficiency with keyboarding and data entry
- Flexible availability to meet staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call shifts, and overtime
Education Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Medical training such as Medical Assistant or Paramedic preferred
- Phlebotomy certification preferred
Work Experience:
- Minimum of 6 months of phlebotomy experience required
- One or more years of phlebotomy experience preferred
- Previous customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred
- Prior experience with data entry or electronic systems required
Additional Requirements:
- Resume must include home city and commute time (must be within 20–25 minutes of the job site)
