Duration: 3 + Months (possible extension)

Contract Duration: TBD (with potential weekend support and 24/7 construction activities for 6–8 weeks in May/June)

Position Overview:
The Construction Manager will oversee all aspects of assigned capital projects on-site, ensuring safe, efficient, and timely execution of construction activities. The role interacts closely with engineering, facilities, maintenance, safety, general contractors, and site operations. The ideal candidate has approximately 10 years of construction management experience, strong communication skills, and a proven safety-first mindset. Experience with brownfield construction in operating life-science facilities is preferred but not mandatory.
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Drive day-to-day construction activities for assigned capital projects.
• Support site safety and enforce compliance with safety protocols.
• Participate in reviewing product changes and vendor/contractor change orders.
• Develop and review critical lift plans for equipment installations.
• Provide input and guidance on construction schedules.
• Execute means and methods for all on-site construction activities.
• Coordinate plant and departmental schedules for site-wide outages or work impacting operations.
• Develop and enforce Build Clean Protocols for the project site.
• Review construction bids and provide recommendations for vendor selection.
• Provide training and guidance on site safety requirements.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure projects meet engineering, operations, and safety standards.

 
Required Skills & Experience:

• Minimum ~10 years of construction management experience.
• Strong knowledge of construction planning, scheduling, and execution.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and collaboration skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders, including engineering, GC, and site operations.
• Experience supporting projects in operating facilities is a plus.
• Strong understanding of safety procedures and protocols.

 
Preferred Skills & Experience:

• Experience executing brownfield construction projects in operating life-science or manufacturing sites.
• Knowledge of clean protocols and equipment critical lift planning.
• Ability to provide training and guidance to project teams.

 
Work Environment & Expectations:

• Primarily on-site, with occasional remote work possible upon agreement with Project Manager.
• Potential weekend work and temporary 24/7 support for high-priority construction periods (6–8 weeks in May/June).
• High collaboration with engineering, operations, safety, and contractors.
