Shipping and Receiving Clerk
Job Title: Warehouse Associate / Shipping and Receiving Clerk
Location: Seattle, WA
Shift/Time Zone: Mon - Fri 8am-430pm
Duration: 4 Months
Role Summary:
The Materials Management Associate is responsible for the shipping, receiving, inspection, routing, and documentation of materials moving in and out of the Business Unit (BU) and remote facilities. This role ensures the accurate and timely processing of materials, proper stock rotation, and compliance with safety and regulatory standards, while supporting inventory and warehouse operations.
Key Responsibilities:

Receive, inspect, verify, and process incoming materials; route materials to appropriate locations (including remote sites).

Accurately record receipts in the Materials Management software system.

Report discrepancies in received materials to the Warehouse Manager.

Prepare outbound shipments and ensure all required documentation is complete.

Manage the Returned Goods process in accordance with SOPs.

Deliver stock to designated departmental staging areas.

Store warehoused items correctly and rotate inventory based on receipt and expiration dates.

Identify and report short-dated materials (less than 30 days shelf life).

Participate in cycle counts and full physical inventories.

Comply with all relevant internal and external policies (OSHA, CLIA, HR, etc.).

Recommend process improvements to enhance warehouse efficiency.

Assist with order entry, picking, packing, and order fulfillment for internal and external needs.

Support record storage and retrieval processes.

Help with receipt, preparation, and distribution of internal and external mail.

Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
-
High school diploma or equivalent.
-
Minimum of six (6) months of experience in materials management, warehousing, or inventory control.

Basic data entry experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
-
Prior experience with Materials Management or Inventory Control software.

Familiarity with compliance procedures in warehouse or healthcare environments.
Skills & Competencies:

Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).

Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Attention to detail and excellent record-keeping abilities.

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) or similar tools.

Ability to operate a computer, printer, and barcode scanner.

Team-oriented with strong collaboration skills.
-
Familiarity with materials handling equipment (forklift, pallet jack, etc.).
Physical Requirements:

Must be able to lift up to seventy (70) pounds.
-
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical tasks throughout the workday.

Capable of operating materials handling equipment as needed.
