Title: Maintenance Technician III/ Facility Generalist
Location: Quincy MA 02171
Duration: 12 Months - Contract to hire
Pay range: $ 31.48 to $ 36.66
Interview: 1st round would be Teams, 2nd round is onsite, and there could be a possible 3rd round.
Job Description:
The Facility Generalist is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations, maintenance, and upkeep of the facility. This role ensures a clean, safe, and efficient working environment by assisting with general maintenance, space management, equipment oversight, and vendor coordination. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and capable of handling multiple facility-related tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform general facility maintenance, including minor repairs, cleaning, and organization.
• Assist in managing workspaces, conference rooms, and common areas for efficiency and cleanliness.
• Coordinate with vendors and service providers for maintenance, repairs, and supplies.
• Conduct regular inspections of the facility to identify and address issues.
• Support health and safety compliance by monitoring emergency systems and safety protocols.
• Assist with office moves, furniture setup, and workspace reconfiguration.
• Maintain inventory of facility supplies and reorder as necessary.
• Respond to facility-related service requests from employees.
• Ensure heating, cooling, and lighting systems are functioning properly.
• Support sustainability initiatives by managing waste reduction and energy efficiency efforts.
Qualifications & Skills:
• Previous experience in facility maintenance, or a related role is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of building systems, HVAC, plumbing, Carpentry, Fabrication, Painting & Plastering and electrical maintenance.
• Concrete repair and installation
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lift and move equipment or furniture as needed.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance procedures.
• Proficiency in using facility management software, Service zone or similar (preferred).
Education & Experience:
• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training in facility management is a plus.
• 3-5 years of experience in facilities, maintenance, or a similar role.
Working Conditions:
• May require lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Work may involve indoor and outdoor tasks in varying conditions.
