Job Location: New York, NY
Job Duration: 3 Months+ (Possible Extension)
 
Shift: Monday through Friday 9 AM – 5 PM
 
Pay Rate: $70/hr (Local)
Pay Rate: $75/hr (Travel)
 
**STIPEND IS ALSO PROVIDED TO THE CANDIDATE LIVING MORE THAN 50 MILES FROM THE FACILITY**
 
Role Overview:
•            Performs CT procedures according to the prescribed protocols to ensure uniformity and accuracy. Exercises appropriate judgment to assess and respond to patient’s needs prior to, during and after visits in the Radiology department.
 
Key Responsibilities and Skills:
•            Requires the utilization of appropriate kV and mA techniques to ensure quality diagnostic CT images.
•            Performs daily quality control calibration checks on all equipment to ensure the equipment is calibrated and working properly before any patient study is performed.
•            Injects patients with radioactive material as per the physician’s order following the prescribed protocol.
•            Observes all department documentation policies by filling in all appropriate logs, manuals, charge documents, as well as reporting equipment problems to comply with regulatory agencies.
•            Performs quality control, quality assurance and safety tests. Follow radiation safety guidelines to comply with ALARA principle.
•            Maintains, develops, and retrieves patient films and electronic date for Radiologist interpretation.
•            Orders patient-specific radiopharmaceutical doses 1-day prior to use.
•            Receives radiopharmaceutical on day of delivery and verifies proper receipt as per policy and procedure. Verifies activity level of the does prior to administration.
 
Qualifications & Skills:
Experience: At least 1 year of CT experience.
Education: Graduate of Radiologic Technologist
 
Licenses/Certifications:
•            BLS
•            ARRT (NYS DOH in Radiologic Technologist)
