Job Title:
Patient Services Representative II (PSR II)

Full-Time | Temporary | Weekdays Only

40 hours per week | Monday–Friday
Position Summary:
The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) is the face of our organization to patients and is responsible for collecting high-quality blood specimens for laboratory analysis. This position requires excellent phlebotomy skills, professionalism, and a customer-focused mindset to support both routine care and life-impacting health decisions. The PSR II works independently and directly with patients while adhering to strict safety, quality, and confidentiality standards.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform daily assigned activities accurately and in a timely manner under supervision.

Maintain a safe, clean, and professional environment.

Confidently perform both clinical and forensic specimen collection procedures.

Verify patient identity and ensure accurate labeling of specimens in the presence of the patient.

Maintain proper records and documentation per company standards.

Deliver excellent service to patients, providers, and clients.

Flexibly work at multiple locations as needed with minimal notice.

Comply with all company policies, including dress code and safety standards.
Required Qualifications:

Education:
-
High school diploma or equivalent (required)

Medical Assistant or Paramedic training (preferred)

Phlebotomy certification (preferred

Experience:
-
Minimum 1 year of phlebotomy experience required

Experience with pediatric, geriatric, and capillary blood collection strongly preferred
-
At least 1 year in a Patient Service Center or healthcare setting preferred
-
Customer service experience in a healthcare or retail setting is a plus

Proficiency with keyboard/data entry tasks

Skills and Competencies:

Strong phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric draws

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

High attention to detail and accuracy

Effective time management and multitasking in a high-volume setting

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills

Customer-focused with a positive and professional attitude

Must be adaptable to schedule changes and available for overtime, holidays, or weekend coverage as needed
