Phlebotomist I

Duration: 4 months
Shift:We have more openings on nights 10pm-630am, day shift would come in next at 6am-230pm.
Works alternating weekends on pre-posted schedule
Works alternating holidays on pre-posted schedule
Overview: The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) serves as the main point of contact between the company and patients. This role involves drawing blood samples and preparing them for lab testing while adhering to established procedures. The PSR I ensures patients are treated with care, trust, and respect, and explains procedures clearly. This role also emphasizes leadership, confidentiality, and accuracy in handling patient information.
Key Responsibilities:

Draw quality blood samples and prepare specimens for lab testing in accordance with standard practices.

Provide excellent customer service to patients, establishing trust and confidence.

Follow all safety and professional guidelines.

Maintain accurate records and documentation of all procedures.

Work under the direction of the area supervisor to meet daily goals and deadlines.

Demonstrate leadership behaviors and promote a positive image to patients, clients, and coworkers.
Job Requirements:

Ability to provide high-quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric patients.

Flexible availability for scheduling needs (weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime).

Reliable transportation to and from work.
Required Education and Training:
-
High school diploma or equivalent (Required).
-
Medical Assistant or Paramedic training (Preferred).

Phlebotomy certification (Required in California, Nevada, and Washington).
Work Experience:
-
At least 6 months of experience in a similar role (Required).

At least 1 year of phlebotomy experience (Preferred).
-
Experience in customer service (Preferred).

Proficiency in keyboarding and data entry (Required).
